Fomo web app: trading fomo from a desktop browser
Yes, fomo works on a computer. There is no program to install: you go to fomo.family in any desktop browser, sign in with the same account you use on your phone, and see the same balance and positions. The web version handles swaps, the social feed and leaderboards, but card and Apple Pay deposits still need the mobile app. Here is what works on desktop, what does not, and how to start there.

What is fomo web?
fomo web is the browser version of fomo, the social crypto trading app from FOMO Labs, Inc. fomo announced it on 29 April 2026 and said that half a million people had signed up since the mobile app launched the previous May. The help center now describes fomo as available on iOS, Android and as a web app at fomo.family.
It is not a separate product or a separate account. fomo's announcement says a trade you open on your desktop shows up on your phone straight away, and the help center describes one cash balance that trades across all of fomo's chains. If you already know how the fomo trading app works on a phone, the web version is the same account on a bigger screen.
How do you open fomo on a desktop?
fomo's instructions are short: go to fomo.family on any desktop browser. In practice:
- Type the address yourself. Enter fomo.family in the address bar or use a bookmark. Do not click a search ad or a link sent in a message; lookalike domains exist, as our guide to fomo scams shows.
- Sign in with your original method. fomo's launch post says to use the same email or Apple ID as on mobile. The help center also lists Google for accounts created that way. A different method creates a new, empty account, which is explained in how fomo login works.
- New to fomo? fomo says you can sign up directly on the web in under 30 seconds. Open the referral link before you do, for the reason covered at the end of this page.
- Check the balance. Before you move money, confirm the profile and history are the ones you expect.
There is no Windows or Mac download in fomo's materials that we checked; the desktop version is the website. Apple's App Store listing adds one option for Mac owners: the iPhone app is compatible with Macs that have Apple silicon. The official store links are in our fomo app download guide.
What can you do on fomo web?
fomo's launch post lists cross-chain swaps, the social feed, leaderboards, following traders with notifications, trending tokens and alerts, and new profile pages. It also says what the web version leaves to the phone. The table compares what fomo documents for each:
| Feature | fomo web (fomo.family) | fomo mobile app |
|---|---|---|
| Where to get it | Any desktop browser | App Store (iOS 16.4 or later) and Google Play |
| Sign-in | Same email or Apple ID as on mobile, per the launch post | Apple ID, Google Account or email, per the help center |
| New sign-ups | Yes, in under 30 seconds per fomo | Yes |
| USDC deposits | Yes, fund with crypto | Yes |
| Apple Pay and debit card | No; fomo points you to the mobile app | Yes, where payment providers support your country |
| Swaps | Solana, Base, BNB Chain and Monad listed at launch | Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain |
| Feed, leaderboards, following | Yes | Yes |
| Face ID | Not mentioned | Optional; once on, required for withdrawals and key export |
| Perps | Not mentioned in the launch post | Yes, but not for US persons |
Two cautions on that table. The launch post named four chains in April 2026, and fomo has not published a separate, updated chain list for the web version, so check inside fomo web before you assume an Ethereum or Robinhood Chain token is tradable there. And "not mentioned" means exactly that: fomo's web post is silent on withdrawals, key export and fomo perps, so if you need those, the mobile app is the documented route.
The social side carries over in full. Reading the fomo leaderboard or scrolling the social feed on a large screen is one of the more practical reasons to use the web version, since you can compare a trader's history and a token chart side by side.
How do you fund a fomo account from a desktop?
On the web, fomo's launch post gives one path: fund with crypto. That means sending USDC from another wallet or exchange to your fomo deposit address. fomo's help center currently lists USDC deposits on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad and Ethereum, and USDG, not USDC, on Robinhood Chain. Sending a token on a network fomo does not support means the funds will not appear in the app.
If you do not hold any crypto yet, the web is the harder place to begin. fomo's launch post says to download the mobile app to use Apple Pay and debit card deposits, and its help center adds that card and Apple Pay availability depend on payment providers with their own country lists. USDC deposits, by contrast, are available everywhere fomo is. A common pattern is to fund once on the phone and then trade and follow people from the desktop.
For a step-by-step USDC transfer, including the network mistakes that lose money, see our guide to depositing USDC to fomo. For the phone route, see buying crypto with Apple Pay on fomo. Trading fees depend on the chain, and what each one costs is on the fomo fee schedule.
Is fomo web the same as other "Fomo" desktop apps?
Probably not, if you found it through a search. When we searched for a fomo web or desktop app, the top results were about an unrelated product also called Fomo: a marketing tool that shows recent-sales pop-ups on online stores, listed on Shopify, Wix and software directories, including a "Fomo" desktop wrapper. None of those is the crypto trading app, and none of them can sign you in to a fomo trading account.
Here is how to tell you are on the real crypto app:
- The address is exactly fomo.family, with nothing added before or after it.
- The company behind it is FOMO Labs, Inc. of New York.
- Sign-in uses your email, Apple ID or Google Account. fomo never asks you to connect an outside wallet or type a seed phrase to log in.
Our fomo family official website guide lists every genuine fomo address and app package, which is worth bookmarking before you sign in on a shared or work computer.
Should you sign up on the web or on your phone?
Both create the same kind of account, so the choice comes down to how you plan to fund it and how you want it protected:
- Start on the phone if you want to deposit with Apple Pay or a debit card, or you want the optional Face ID check guarding withdrawals and key export. fomo documents both only for the mobile app.
- Start on the web if you already hold USDC on a supported network and mainly want to watch charts, the feed and leaderboards on a larger screen.
- Use both if you like, as long as you sign in with the same method each time.
Whichever screen you use, the order of steps matters more than the device. fomo's help center says a referral code can only be entered on the sign-up screen and there is no field to add it later. Opening the referral link before you create the account is what brings the trading fee from 0.50% to 0.45%. The full sequence, from that link to your first deposit, is in our step-by-step sign-up guide. If you live outside the US, check the countries where fomo works before you deposit.
Fomo web questions
Is there a fomo desktop app for Windows or Mac?
fomo’s web announcement sends desktop users to fomo.family in any desktop browser, and we found no separate Windows or Mac download in fomo’s materials. Apple’s App Store listing says the iPhone app is also compatible with Macs that have Apple silicon.
Can I create a fomo account on a computer?
Yes. fomo’s announcement of fomo web says new users can sign up directly on the web in under 30 seconds. If you want the referral fee discount, open the referral link first, because fomo only accepts it at sign-up.
Can I use Apple Pay or a debit card on fomo web?
Not according to fomo’s launch post. It says to fund with crypto on the web, or download the mobile app to use Apple Pay and debit card deposits. Card and Apple Pay availability also depends on your country.
Do my positions sync between fomo web and the phone app?
Yes. fomo says a trade you open on your desktop shows up on your phone straight away, because both use the same account, balance and positions. Sign in with the exact same method on both, or you will create a second account.
Is the Fomo app on Shopify or software directories the same as fomo.family?
No. Many results for a “Fomo” web or desktop app are about an unrelated marketing tool that shows sales pop-ups on online stores. The crypto trading app is fomo from FOMO Labs, Inc., and its only web address is fomo.family.
