Fomo app countries: check this before you sign up
Before you download the fomo app, it is worth knowing that access depends on where you are, and that two products inside the app have their own separate country rules. fomo publishes a list of places it bars, not a list of countries it welcomes. Here is what the documents say and what to check before you deposit anything.

Where is the fomo app not available?
fomo's Terms of Service bar access from restricted and sanctioned locations. The list named in the terms includes:
- Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk
- Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria-style sanctioned jurisdictions under US, UK or EU programmes
- The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Myanmar, Sudan, Venezuela and Yemen
The terms also prohibit using a VPN or similar tools to get around those restrictions. If you are in one of these places, no workaround in the app is legitimate, and using one puts any balance at risk.
Which fomo products have extra country rules?
| Product | Who is excluded | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Spot trading on six chains | Restricted and sanctioned jurisdictions only | Terms of Service |
| Perpetual futures | US persons: citizens, residents, or anyone located in the US | Perps launch post, June 2026 |
| Robinhood Chain tokens | US persons and residents of Canada, the UK, Switzerland and other listed places | Terms of Service |
This is why two people can both have the fomo app and see different things: the spot side is the same, while perps and Robinhood Chain markets depend on where you are.
What about payment methods by country?
Country rules are only half the question; funding is the other half. fomo supports Apple Pay, debit cards and USDC deposits on Solana, Base and BNB Chain, and supports withdrawals to a bank account "where available", which is fomo's own wording rather than a published country list. In practice that means:
- Crypto funding works anywhere the app does, since USDC on Solana, Base or BNB Chain does not depend on your bank.
- Card and Apple Pay availability depends on your issuer, and fomo does not publish a per-country list.
- Bank withdrawal is the piece to test early. fomo says bank withdrawals arrive within three business days and the first may need extra verification.
The practical order is in our fomo wallet guide: fund small, withdraw small once, then scale up when you know both directions work from your country.
How to check before you sign up
- Read the restricted list in fomo's terms and confirm your location is not on it.
- Check the product you actually came for. If it is perps and you are a US person, the answer is no.
- Plan funding. If cards are unreliable where you are, get USDC on Solana, Base or BNB Chain ready instead.
- Open a referral link before creating the account, because the fee discount cannot be attached afterwards.
- Test a small withdrawal early, well before you need the money.
If everything checks out, the full walkthrough is in the fomo sign-up guide, and the real addresses to download from are listed on fomo family, because fake sites target exactly the people searching for availability in their country.
Fomo app country questions
Which countries cannot use the fomo app?
fomo’s Terms of Service bar access from places including Crimea, Cuba, Donetsk, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Libya, Luhansk, Myanmar, North Korea, Sudan, Venezuela and Yemen, along with jurisdictions under US, UK or EU sanctions.
Can I use the fomo app in the United States?
The spot trading side of the app is used by people in the US, and fomo does not list the US as a restricted jurisdiction. Two products are limited: perpetual futures are not available to US persons, and Robinhood Chain tokens are restricted for US persons as well.
Can I use a VPN to access fomo?
No. fomo’s terms prohibit using a VPN or similar tools to get around location restrictions. Doing it anyway risks the account and any balance in it.
Does fomo publish a list of supported countries?
No. fomo publishes the restricted list rather than a positive list of every supported country, so the practical check is to confirm your location is not on the restricted list and that your funding method works.
Which countries are restricted for Robinhood Chain tokens?
fomo’s terms restrict Robinhood Tokens for US persons and for residents of Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other listed jurisdictions. This is separate from the main country restrictions.
