Fomo referral code: the real 10% fee discount
The only fomo referral code discount documented by fomo is 10% off trading fees, for the life of the account. It turns the standard 0.50% fee into 0.45% and it can only be attached when you create your account. Our referral link applies it automatically, with nothing to type.
How much does the fomo referral code save?
The discount is 10% of the fomo trading fee, not 10% of your trade. In practice:

The saving is small per trade and adds up with volume. Buying and selling both pay a fee, so an active trader sees it twice per position. Network fees on chains other than Solana are separate and are not discounted. The complete fee schedule is on the fomo fees page.
Why does the referral only work at sign-up?
fomo attaches a referral when the account is created. Its help center states that there is no field in the app to add a referral code afterwards and points people who missed it to fomo support. That is why the order of steps matters:
- Open the referral link first, on the device you will sign up with.
- Create the account with email or Apple ID from that screen.
- Only then deposit and trade.

Why do some sites promise 25%, 50% or 100% off?
Search for a fomo referral code today and most of the first page is not fomo-related websites at all. It is pages on free publishing platforms, such as slide-deck builders, company directories and newsletter tools, each advertising a different code: 20% off, 25% off, 90% off, even 100% off. None of those figures appear in fomo's own documentation, which describes a 10% discount.
The business model is simple: every one of those codes is someone's referral, and a bigger number gets more clicks. The real discount you receive is set by fomo, not by the page that sent you. Some legitimate guides do say 10%, and they are right; the codes promising more are the ones to ignore. For how we checked, see our verification method.
How can you check that the referral worked?
fomo does not show a public receipt for referrals, so the practical check is the fee itself. After your first trade on a chain charged at the standard rate, look at the fee on the trade details: at 0.45% instead of 0.50% the discount is active. If you see the full rate, contact fomo support through help.fomo.family, since only fomo can attach a missed referral. We cannot see or change anything in your account.
Can you earn from the fomo referral program yourself?
Yes. Once you have an account you get your own referral link on fomo.family, and fomo's help center says referrers earn 25% of the trading fees generated by people they refer. fomo's Terms of Service add that the reward program may change at any time at fomo's discretion, so treat the numbers as current rather than permanent.

Does the referral discount apply to perps?
fomo’s referral article describes the discount on trading fees. It does not spell out perps separately, so do not assume the perps fee changes until fomo says so.
