The fomo affiliate program, and the numbers fomo leaves out
fomo runs two separate things that people both call "the affiliate program": a referral link every account already has, and an application-only affiliate and creator program with a dashboard, a manager and bonus tiers. The first has a published rate. The second does not publish one at all. This page separates them and marks every gap, because we are in the first of the two and have no reason to pretend the second is more transparent than it is.

Two programs, not one
| Referral link | Affiliate and creator program | |
|---|---|---|
| Who gets it | Every fomo account, automatically | Applicants fomo approves |
| How you get it | Profile page, gift icon in the top right | Apply at fomo.family/affiliates |
| Published rate | 25% of the trading fees the invited account pays | None published |
| What the invitee gets | 10% off trading fees, 0.50% becomes 0.45% | fomo does not say it differs |
| Extras | None documented | Dashboard, affiliate manager, creative assets, private community, merch, early feature access |
| Tiers | None | Silver, Gold, Platinum, rates not published |
The practical read: if you are sending a handful of friends, the ordinary referral link already pays the only rate fomo has ever put in writing. The application route is for people with an audience who want the reporting, the contact and whatever the higher tiers pay.
What does fomo pay?
One number exists in fomo's documentation: the referral article sets the referrer's share at 25% of the trading fees generated by the account they invited, on Solana and on the EVM chains alike. That money comes out of fomo's own fee rather than being added to anyone's bill, and the invited account simultaneously pays less, 0.45% instead of the standard 0.50%. Our referral code page works through what that means on real order sizes, and the full fee schedule shows where the 0.50% applies.
For the affiliate program specifically, fomo publishes marketing figures instead of a rate: its affiliates page states "$1.1M+" in referral fees paid to date, says there is no cap on earnings, and says top affiliates earn thousands per month. Those are fomo's claims about other people, not a rate card and not a promise to you. Nobody can tell you what you would earn, and anyone who quotes you a fomo affiliate percentage is quoting something fomo has not published.
How do you apply?
- Open fomo.family/affiliates. The form asks for an email address and a social handle; the live form shows an Instagram placeholder.
- Submit and wait. fomo says each application is reviewed and answered within a few business days.
- Expect a judgement call. fomo says there is no minimum follower count, that it is open to anyone with an audience, and that approval depends on a number of factors it does not spell out, including whether you look like a good fit for the app.
- If approved, fomo describes a unique link, a dashboard tracking conversions and earnings in real time, creative assets, a dedicated affiliate manager, and payouts that land in your fomo cash balance.
What fomo does not publish
- The commission rate, and what it is a percentage of. Trading fees, volume, something else: not stated.
- Tier thresholds. Silver, Gold and Platinum are named; what qualifies you and what each pays is not.
- Payout schedule and minimums. fomo says earnings arrive in your cash balance and that bonuses are paid monthly, without a date, a threshold or a withdrawal method.
- Terms. No published duration, no termination conditions, no rules about what you may and may not claim in your own marketing.
- Attribution window. Nothing about how long a click stays attached to you, or what happens if someone uses two links.
None of that makes the programme suspect; application-based affiliate programmes often negotiate rates individually. It does mean an affiliate agreement with fomo is a conversation you have with your affiliate manager, not a published contract you can read first.
What we can tell you first-hand
This site is funded by the ordinary referral route, not the application route, and we say so on the affiliate disclosure page and in who runs this site. The mechanics we can confirm from using it: the discount attaches only on the sign-up screen, so it has to be opened before the account exists; it cannot be added afterwards; and the share paid to the referrer is taken from fomo's fee, which is why we can tell you the honest version of the fee schedule without it costing us anything. What we cannot confirm is anything about the approved-affiliate dashboard, the tiers or the bonuses, because we have never seen them.
Three things worth settling before you apply
- Who your audience actually is. A referral only pays when someone signs up and trades, so an audience that reads but does not trade produces nothing regardless of its size.
- Whether you can promote it honestly. fomo is a non-custodial app where tokens can go to zero and nobody can recover a lost key; our safety page covers what the app does and does not protect.
- What you will say about rates. The most common fomo scam online is a fake discount code promising 25% to 100% off fees, documented on our fomo scams page. Quoting numbers fomo has not published is how legitimate affiliates end up looking like those pages.
If you are reading this because you want the cheaper fees rather than the payouts, the fomo family app overview covers what the app does, and the sign-up walkthrough has the order that matters.
Fomo affiliate program questions
Does the fomo affiliate program publish its commission rate?
No. fomo’s affiliate page and its help center article both describe commissions, bonus tiers and uncapped earnings without naming a single percentage. The only rate fomo publishes anywhere is in its referral article, where the person who refers an account receives 25% of the trading fees that account generates.
Do you need followers to join?
fomo says there is no minimum follower count required to apply, and that applications are reviewed, with approval depending on several factors it does not list. So there is no threshold to clear and no guarantee of acceptance either.
How long does an affiliate application take?
fomo says the team reviews each submission and replies within a few business days. It does not publish what happens if you hear nothing.
Can you earn from fomo without applying as an affiliate?
Yes. Every fomo account has a referral link on the profile page, under the gift icon in the top right. fomo’s referral article sets that share at 25% of the fees the invited account pays, and the person you invite gets a 10% discount on their own trading fees.
Where does affiliate money actually come from?
From fomo’s own trading fee, not from an extra charge on the person who signed up. The invited account pays 0.45% instead of 0.50% and fomo keeps less of it.
