Fomo login: how signing in works, and how to fix it

There is no fomo password. You log in to fomo with the same Apple ID, Google Account or email address you signed up with, and with email you confirm each sign-in with a one-time code. Most login problems come from one mistake: signing in with a different method from the first time, which quietly creates a second, empty account. Here is how signing in works on the phone and the web, and how to fix the common errors.

How does fomo login work?

fomo does not keep a username and password for you. Its help center says your account is tied to the Apple ID, Google Account or email address you signed up with, and that your email, password and login credentials are controlled by that provider. fomo's own app guide and its web announcement name email and Apple ID; the newer help center articles also list Google. Whichever you picked on day one is your key to the account.

That design has a direct consequence for your money. When you sign up, fomo creates a non-custodial wallet through Privy and ties it to that login. The Terms of Service put the responsibility on you: you are solely responsible for safeguarding access, including the email account, Apple ID or other credentials used to secure or recover it. How the wallet keys themselves are protected is covered in our fomo safety guide.

Which sign-in methods does fomo accept?

Each method signs you in differently. The table sums up what fomo documents for each:

MethodHow you confirm itWhere you change the passwordNamed in
Apple IDApple's sign-in prompt on your deviceYour Apple ID settingsApp guide, web announcement, help center
Google AccountGoogle's sign-in promptYour Google Account security settingsHelp center
EmailA one-time code (OTP) sent to your inboxNothing to change on fomo; there is no fomo passwordApp guide, web announcement, help center

fomo says any change you make with Apple or Google carries over to your fomo login. fomo now also offers its own second check on top of that login, explained in our guide to fomo two-factor authentication, but the protection on that Apple, Google or email account is still the front door to your fomo login. In the mobile app, fomo adds an optional biometric check under Settings, then Security; once it is on, it is required to withdraw and to export your key, and you can also require it to open the app.

Why does my fomo account look empty after logging in?

This is the most common login surprise, and fomo explains it directly: signing in with a different account from the one you originally used creates a new, separate account. There is no error message. You simply land in a fresh wallet with a zero balance, no trades and a new profile.

It happens in a few predictable ways:

  • You signed up with Apple ID on an iPhone, then typed your email on a new Android phone or on the web.
  • You signed up with Google, then tapped the Apple option on a new phone out of habit.
  • You have two email addresses and entered the other one.

The fix is to sign out and sign in with the exact same credential you used the first time. Your original balance and positions are still tied to that login. Before you move money into an account, glance at the profile name and history to confirm you are in the right one; a deposit sent to the new, accidental account is not merged with the old one by any process fomo documents.

What if the fomo login code email never arrives?

Email sign-in uses a one-time password rather than a stored password. fomo's help center lists the checks to make when that code does not show up:

  1. Look in your spam or junk folder.
  2. Make sure the email address is typed correctly.
  3. Set your phone's date and time to automatic.
  4. Request a new code from the login screen.

If you see "email not found," fomo says that address is not linked to a fomo account. Changing a password will not fix it, because authentication is handled outside fomo. Try the other addresses you own, or the Apple or Google option you may have used instead. If you have never had an account, that message is expected and you are about to create one, which is the moment to read the next section.

How do you log in to fomo on the web?

fomo launched a web version on 29 April 2026. Its announcement says you sign in with your existing fomo account, email or Apple ID, and get the same profile, same balance and same positions; a trade opened on desktop shows up on your phone straight away. The web version covers swaps, the social feed, leaderboards, trending tokens and following traders; what it leaves to the phone is in our fomo web app guide.

Searching for a fomo web login is also where people get caught by lookalike sites. Type fomo.family yourself or use a bookmark, and never sign in through a link sent by message or email. A real fomo login never asks you to connect an outside wallet or type a seed phrase. Our fomo family official website guide lists every genuine address, and the drainer site that copies fomo's design is described in our guide to fomo scams. If you have not installed the app yet, our fomo app download guide has the official store links.

What if the fomo app will not load or sign you in?

fomo's help center suggests three steps, in order:

  • Force close and reopen the app from your phone's app switcher.
  • Delete and reinstall from the App Store or Google Play. fomo says reinstalling will not affect your account, your balances or your positions, because they are tied to your login (removing the app is not the same as deleting your fomo account).
  • Contact support if it still fails: Profile, then Settings, then Help and Support, then the Contact Support button. fomo's terms list support@fomo.family for written requests.

fomo also notes the app is not available in some regions because of regulation. If you are outside the US, check our list of countries where the fomo app works before you assume the login is broken.

Can you recover a fomo account if you lose your email or Apple ID?

fomo does not publish a separate account recovery process. Because the login is your Apple ID, Google Account or email, recovering that provider account is the realistic route back in, using Apple's or Google's own recovery tools. That is why the most useful protection is set up in advance, not after a problem:

  • Turn on two-factor protection for the Apple ID, Google Account or email you use for fomo.
  • Write down which method you used, so you never guess on a new device.
  • Know that you can export your private key at any time, behind your biometric check if one is on, and use the funds in another wallet. The export and its risks are explained in our fomo wallet guide.

Anyone who contacts you offering to "recover" or "unlock" a fomo account in exchange for a code, a key or a fee is running a scam. Real support never needs your private key.

If you are reading this before creating an account at all, the order matters more than the login method. The 10% fee discount from a referral link only attaches at sign-up and there is no field to add it later, so open the referral link before your first sign-in, then pick the login you will remember. The whole sequence is in our step-by-step sign-up guide, and what the fomo app charges and trades is on the homepage.

Fomo login questions

Does fomo have a password I can reset?

No. fomo’s help center says it does not use passwords or manage your email directly. Your login is the Apple ID, Google Account or email address you signed up with, so any password change happens with Apple or Google and carries over to fomo.

Why does fomo show an empty account after I signed in?

Most likely you used a different sign-in method or address from the first time. fomo says a different account creates a new, separate fomo account. Sign out and sign back in with the exact credential you originally used.

Is fomo web a different account from the app?

No. fomo’s announcement of its web version says you sign in with your existing fomo account and see the same profile, same balance and same positions, and a trade opened on desktop shows up on your phone.

Will deleting and reinstalling the fomo app log me out of my funds?

You will need to sign in again, but fomo’s help center says reinstalling will not affect your account, your balances or your positions, because they are tied to your login rather than to the phone.

Can this site help me get into my fomo account?

No. We are an independent site and have no access to any fomo account. Use the Help and Support section in the app or support@fomo.family, the address listed in fomo’s terms, and never share a code or key with anyone who contacts you first.
