Fomo minimum deposit: no floor, but fees set one
fomo says there is no minimum deposit. Its help center sets no floor for debit card, Apple Pay or USDC deposits, and the only stated minimum is 0.50 USDG when you fund through Robinhood Chain. The real floor comes from fees: on Solana, any order under 5 USDC pays a flat 0.10 USDC, so very small deposits mostly buy you a test run.

Is there a minimum deposit on fomo?
No. fomo's own answers page on starting small puts it plainly: "No minimum deposit. Start with whatever you're comfortable with." We checked the three help center articles that describe each deposit method, and none of them sets a minimum for a card payment, an Apple Pay purchase or a USDC transfer.
There is one exception, and it is easy to miss. Robinhood Chain does not take USDC deposits at all. Its deposit asset is USDG, and fomo's help center gives a minimum of 0.50 USDG on that route. Whatever you send there is converted automatically into your USDC cash balance.
You may also see a figure of 0.95 quoted as the fomo minimum deposit in search summaries. That is a misreading: 0.95 USDC is the flat trading fee on Solana orders between 47.50 and 190 USDC, covered in full on our fomo fees page, and you can price a specific order with our fomo fee calculator.
What are the limits for each deposit method?
Here is what fomo's help center says about each way to fund an account, as checked on 2 October 2026. Blank spaces in fomo's documentation are marked as not published rather than guessed.
| Method | Minimum | Maximum | Fee | Arrives |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Debit card | None stated | Not published | Not published | Usually ready to trade within a few minutes |
| Apple Pay | None stated | Not published | Not published | Not published |
| USDC on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad or Ethereum | None stated | Not published | Not published by fomo | Seconds to a few minutes, depending on the network |
| USDG on Robinhood Chain | 0.50 USDG | Not published | Not published by fomo | Seconds to a few minutes |
Two notes on that table. Card deposits must use a bank-issued debit card, and fomo's Apple Pay flow opens a list of tokens you can buy directly rather than a plain top-up. The step-by-step version of that flow is in our guide to buying crypto with Apple Pay on fomo. For crypto, the exchange or wallet you send from often has its own minimum withdrawal and network fee, which can matter more than anything fomo sets.
What is the smallest deposit worth making?
This is where fees, not rules, do the work. On Solana, where fomo pays the gas for you, the fee schedule is tiered by order size. That tiering makes very small orders expensive in percentage terms:
| Solana order | fomo fee | Fee as % of order |
|---|---|---|
| 1 USDC | 0.10 USDC flat | 10% |
| 3 USDC | 0.10 USDC flat | 3.3% |
| 15 USDC | 2% of the order | 2% |
| 75 USDC | 0.95 USDC flat | 1.3% |
| 250 USDC | 0.50% of the order | 0.50% |
Remember that selling costs a fee too, so a round trip roughly doubles those percentages before the token has moved at all. On Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad, Robinhood Chain and Arc the fee is a flat 0.50%, but you pay the network fee on top, and on a few dollars that network fee can be the larger cost. Our Solana trading guide explains why small orders usually work out cheapest there.
We do not tell anyone how much to put in. For reference, fomo's own beginner answers say $50 is "not too little" and suggest "$10-15 per trade" so you get several attempts. Whatever the amount, fomo's guidance is the same as ours: only use money you can afford to lose completely.
Why does a small test deposit still make sense?
Because the most expensive mistake in crypto funding is not a fee, it is sending money to the wrong place. fomo's help center is explicit: send only USDC, send it on the same network as the deposit address, and if the networks do not match "the funds will not appear in the app." Robinhood Chain has its own rule: send USDG there, never USDC, and never send USDG on any other network.
A sensible order of operations for a first crypto deposit:
- In fomo, open Deposit, tap Crypto and pick the network your USDC is already on.
- Copy the address fomo shows for that network.
- Send a small amount from your exchange or wallet, checking the network name on both screens matches.
- Wait until it shows in your cash balance, then send the rest.
The full walkthrough, with the mistakes that lose funds, is in our guide to depositing USDC to fomo. A small card deposit plays the same role: it shows whether your bank allows the payment before you commit more. fomo says the most common reasons a card deposit is declined are a billing address, ZIP code or CVV that does not match your bank's records, and banks that block crypto-related purchases by default.
Can you withdraw a small amount from fomo?
fomo's help center articles on withdrawals do not state a minimum either. What they do say for US users:
- Bank withdrawals are available for US bank accounts. The first one requires identity verification, and regular withdrawals take 1 to 3 business days. Banks on the RTP network typically complete within about an hour, and a same-day option exists on business days between 9 AM and 5 PM ET for an additional fee fomo does not quantify.
- External wallet withdrawals work on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain (as USDG on Robinhood Chain). Sending to the wrong network or to an address you do not control can mean permanent loss.
Because the first bank withdrawal triggers verification, it is worth doing a small one early instead of waiting until you need the money. Our fomo KYC guide covers when else fomo asks for ID.
Does the deposit size change anything at sign-up?
Not in anything fomo publishes: none of the sign-up, deposit or fee articles we checked ties the account to a starting balance. The one thing that does depend on timing is the fee discount: a referral link only attaches at sign-up, which is why our sign-up guide starts with it. On small deposits the saving is small in dollars, but it applies to every trade for as long as you use the fomo trading app, and the details are on our referral code page.
Once the money is in, our walkthrough of your first trade on fomo picks up from the funded balance, and the fomo wallet guide covers private key export and everything else about the account the deposit lands in.
Fomo minimum deposit questions
Can I deposit $1 into fomo?
fomo says there is no minimum deposit, and its help center sets no floor for card, Apple Pay or USDC deposits. A $1 trade on Solana would still pay the flat 0.10 USDC fee, which is 10% of the order, so a deposit that small is better used as a test than as trading money.
Is the fomo minimum deposit 0.95 dollars?
No. Some search summaries quote 0.95, but that number is the flat 0.95 USDC trading fee fomo charges on Solana orders between 47.50 and 190 USDC. It is a fee tier, not a deposit minimum.
Does fomo charge a fee to deposit?
fomo’s help center articles on debit card, Apple Pay and USDC deposits do not list a deposit fee. Read the total on the payment screen before you confirm, and remember that the exchange or wallet you send USDC from may charge its own withdrawal fee.
Is there a minimum to withdraw from fomo?
fomo’s help center articles on bank and external wallet withdrawals do not state a minimum. Bank withdrawals are for US bank accounts, need identity verification the first time, and usually take 1 to 3 business days.
