Can you send SOL on fomo? What you can send, and where
Partly. Inside the app, fomo lets you send USDC from your cash balance or verified Solana tokens to another fomo user by username, and it lets you withdraw USDC to an outside wallet or exchange. It does not document a button that sends SOL, or any other token, to an outside address. For that, fomo’s own help center says to export your private key and send from another wallet.

What can you send from the fomo app?
fomo’s help center describes three ways money leaves your balance, and they do not all accept the same assets. This is the part most people miss when they search for a “send” button:
| Where it goes | What you can send | How | Reversible? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Another fomo user | USDC from your cash balance, or verified Solana tokens | Send, then search their username | No, on-chain once confirmed |
| An outside wallet or exchange | USDC on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad or Ethereum; USDG on Robinhood Chain | Withdraw, then Crypto wallet | No |
| Any address, any token | Whatever the wallet holds, including tokens not shown in the app | Export your private key and send from a wallet you import it into | No |
fomo does not say whether SOL itself counts as one of the “verified Solana tokens” you can send to another user. The quickest way to find out is to open the Send screen and look at the asset list before you count on it. None of the three routes is documented with a fee, a minimum or a daily limit, so read the confirmation screen each time.
How do you send crypto to another fomo user?
Sending between users works by username, not by wallet address. fomo gives two paths:
- From your own profile: tap the three dots next to your cash balance, tap Send, search the username, pick what you want to send, enter the amount and confirm.
- From their profile: open the person’s profile, tap Send in the top right corner, pick the asset, enter the amount and confirm.
Since February 2026 you can attach a note and an image to the transfer, which fomo pitches for tips, giveaways and sending a friend their first crypto. Two cautions from fomo’s article are worth repeating. First, these are on-chain transactions, so once confirmed they cannot be reversed. Second, a send is a plain transfer, not a way to copy someone’s trades; if that is what you were after, our page on how following traders works on fomo explains what the app actually offers.
How do you send USDC from fomo to an outside wallet?
Sending to a wallet you control, or to an exchange, goes through the withdraw flow rather than Send:
- Tap the three dots next to your cash balance, choose Withdraw, then Crypto wallet.
- Enter the amount and continue.
- In the receiving wallet or exchange, copy the USDC deposit address for one network fomo supports.
- Pick the same network from the dropdown in fomo and paste the address.
- Review the network, address and amount, then confirm.
Step 4 is where money gets lost. fomo warns that sending on the wrong network or to an address you do not control can mean permanent loss. Robinhood Chain is the odd one out: it carries USDG, not USDC, so only pick it if the other side expects USDG. For withdrawals to a bank account instead, timing and verification are covered in the fomo wallet guide.
How do you move SOL or other tokens out of fomo?
fomo’s answer for any token other than USDC is to take your key with you. Your account has two keys: a Solana key for your Solana address, and one EVM key that controls the same address on Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain. The route fomo documents is:
- Export the key from Settings, then Account, then Export. For SOL and Solana tokens you need the Solana key (see how to export a fomo wallet).
- Import it into a compatible non-custodial wallet. It opens the same address you already have in fomo, not a new wallet.
- Send from that wallet to wherever the tokens need to go, paying that network’s fee there.
This is a real trade-off. Anyone who sees an exported key can empty the wallet, and fomo’s own advice is never to share it, never paste it into a website and never store it digitally. That is why we treat exporting as a deliberate step, not a routine transfer. How fomo protects the key while it stays in the app is explained on the fomo safety page. If the token is too small to sell, worth less than 2 USDC on most networks, export is also how you reach it, as described in our guide to closing a fomo account safely.
Can you send SOL or other tokens into fomo?
You can send anything to a public address, but fomo only credits certain deposits to your cash balance. Its help center lists deposits on seven networks and says a token other than USDC “may not display in the app depending on the token”. It also lists minimums that count toward your balance:
- Solana: no minimum.
- Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Robinhood Chain: 0.50.
- Ethereum: currently 15 USDC, and fomo says it can change.
The safe way to fund an account is still USDC on a supported network, or Apple Pay or a debit card. Our step-by-step guide to depositing USDC to fomo walks through a test transfer, and the fomo minimum deposit guide explains why the fee tiers matter more than the deposit floor. Note too that fomo does not let you import an existing wallet, so you cannot bring your old Solana wallet in and send from it inside the app.
What if tokens went to the wrong network?
fomo splits this into two very different cases:
- Your own fomo EVM address, on a network fomo does not read (fomo names Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism and Avalanche among its examples). The funds are still yours, but the app and support cannot credit them. fomo’s fix is to export the EVM key, import it into a wallet that supports that network, add a little of that network’s gas token, then bridge or swap into USDC on a network fomo supports, such as Base. It then appears in the app on its own.
- An address you do not control. fomo says those funds cannot be recovered. If the address belongs to an exchange or another platform, only that platform’s support can help, using the transaction hash.
A Solana key never reaches an EVM balance and an EVM key never reaches a Solana one, so a mix-up between the two cannot be fixed by swapping keys.
How do you avoid losing funds when sending?
Every send on fomo is final, so the habits matter more than the steps:
- Send a small test first to any new address or exchange, and wait for it to land.
- Match the network on both sides before you paste an address, and check that the address is the one for that network.
- Never send your key to “support”. fomo’s help center says never to send your key to anyone, including support; fake support is one of the traps covered on our fomo scams page.
- Ignore random tokens that appear in your wallet. fomo says these are often airdrop scam tokens sent to thousands of wallets, and they usually cannot be sold.
- Keep records. The History screen lists transfers alongside trades, which helps if you ever need a transaction hash.
If you have not opened an account yet, the order matters: use a referral link before you sign up, because the 10% fee discount cannot be added later, then follow the sign-up guide. Fees and chains for trading itself are summarised in our fomo trading app overview and on the fee schedule page.
Sending tokens on fomo: questions
Can I send SOL from fomo to Phantom or another outside wallet?
Not through the in-app withdraw flow, which fomo documents for USDC (and USDG on Robinhood Chain) only. fomo’s help center says other tokens are moved by exporting your private key and importing it into a compatible wallet, then sending from there.
Is there a fee to send tokens to another fomo user?
fomo’s help center article on sending to another user does not mention a fee or a limit. Check the confirmation screen in the app, which shows the recipient and amount before you approve.
Can I cancel a send on fomo?
No. fomo says transfers between users are on-chain transactions that cannot be reversed once confirmed, and its terms describe the wallet as non-custodial, so there is no chargeback.
Why did a token I sent to my fomo wallet not show up?
fomo says the most common cause is a network mismatch, and that a token other than USDC may not display in the app depending on the token. Check the transaction on the block explorer for the network you used, then contact support from inside the app.
Can I add a message when I send crypto on fomo?
Yes. fomo’s February 2026 update added notes and images to sends between fomo users, with messages checked by automated content moderation.
